Initial Teacher Education Conference
4-5 September 2009, Loughborough Conference Centre
This annual conference is for all those involved in supporting trainees on primary and secondary initial teacher education programmes for MFL. The conference is appropriate for teacher trainers on MFL PGCE, SCITT and GTP and for mentors who work in partnership with any of these. Those involved in research in this sector will also find much to stimulate their thinking.

A Recent History of Primary and Secondary Education in England
This is a booklet written in 2 parts to help the beginning teacher address the objective of developing a broad understanding of the education system. It will be of special value to beginning ‘native-speaker’ teachers, aiding understanding of important differences in detail between the education systems in which they grew up, and the one in which they are starting to work.
